Give back? Bull shit. WTF have you ever given, Michelle?

michelleobamaI’m sorry but I seriously hate this woman.  Does she really think she can tell us what to do?  Has she ever been in touch with reality?

Drawing on her personal journey from the South Side of Chicago to an Ivy League degree and then finally to the White House, First Lady Michelle Obama encouraged graduates to serve their communities in her commencement address at the University of California at Merced.

Recalling the “Dear Michelle” campaign, which included a youtube video, that the class of 2009 launched to convince her to address graduates there, Obama said that students should continue to push for big things as they chart their lives in the future, but not forget their roots.

“[W]ith jobs scarce, many of you may be considering leaving town with your diploma in hand. And it wouldn’t be unreasonable. For those of you who come from communities facing similar economic hardships, you may also be wondering how you’ll build decent lives for yourselves if you choose to return to those communities,” she said.

Bull shit.  She is not just ordinary folk.  She never has been.  She doesn’t understand the struggle.  She understands the anger and that’s all she got.

But I would encourage you to call upon the same hope and hard work that brought you to this day. Call upon that optimism and tenacity that built the University of California at Merced to invest in the future of Merced in your own home towns all across this country. By using what you have learned here, you can shorten the path perhaps for kids who may not see a path at all.”

Pack up your hope and change schtick and get the fuck outta here.  But before you go I’d like to ask you one question.  Why does your husband sound blacker then you?  Isn’t he half white?  Wasn’t he brought up by white people?  Just askin’.

Obama encouraged the students, the first graduating class of the University of California at Merced, which was founded in 2005, to be social innovators and not take short cuts.

“We need your ideas, graduates. We need your resourcefulness. We need your inventiveness. And as the students who helped build this school, I ask you, make your legacy a lasting one. Dream big, think broadly about your life, and please make giving back to your community a part of that vision,” she said. “Take the same hope and optimism, the hard work and tenacity that brought you to this point, and carry that with you for the rest of your life in whatever you choose to do. Each and every single day, some young person is out there changing the ways — the world in ways both big and small.”

She also recalled her own youth growing up in the shadow of the University of Chicago, and then becoming with her brother the first members of their immediate family to earn college degrees, and then joining the staff at the U of Chicago and opening up the doors to others from the city’s South Side.

Many of the graduates were the first in their respective families to earn a college degree, and Obama told the graduates that being first carries a special responsibility and that they should not forget the supportive community that helped them reach their goals.

“So, whenever you get ready to give up, think about all of these people and remember that you are blessed. Remember that you are blessed. Remember that in exchange for those blessings, you must give something back,” she said. “You must reach back and pull someone up. You must bend down and let someone else stand on your shoulders so that they can see a brighter future.”

You are not an honest person. Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.
